Please note, due to cost we do not stock these ring cores, and will order your Damascus ring blank when you place your order with us. Stainless steel is strong and tarnish resistant, but is more susceptible to scratching than some other options. Stainless Damascus steel: Beautiful and complex patterning and texture make this an eye-catching choice. While carbon fiber is very strong, it scratches easier then the metal and ceramic cores, but small scratches don't stand out on it. Carbon fiber has a visual and tactile texture to it due to its manufacturing process, which involves compressing layers of woven carbon fibers and resin. Like tungsten, ceramic rings can be chipped or broken under extreme conditions.Ĭarbon fiber: Ultra light, ultra strong composite material used in high end sports cars, aircraft and aerospace applications. Will retain its dark black color forever. Extremely hard, but can chip or break if shocked.Ĭeramic (Titanium Carbide): Lightweight and durable. Highly scratch, chip, and corrosion-resistant. Moderately scratch resistant.Ĭobalt Chrome: Brilliant color, comparable to platinum or white gold. Please see other rings in our shop for examples of the various metals available. Please feel free to contact us for custom options. We occasionally have access to other options as well, such as sterling silver and other metals. Rings are available in titanium, cobalt chrome, black ceramic, tungsten carbide, carbon fiber, and Damascus stainless steel. Please contact me directly to inquire about a different size, or other customizations (inlay color, glow color, etc). Other sizes may be available on a custom basis. Rings are available in half sizes from 6-14. ***Please note*** The black pigment in this ring considerably dims the glow as compared to our other rings. This ring includes a copy of the US Government surplus tag assigned to the bolt upon its removal from the shuttle. The bolt used for these rings was acquired from Ken Havekotte, Owner, SpaceCoast Cover Service. On this mission the shuttle completed 161 orbits of the earth, and conducted a number of micro gravity experiments and a satellite rendezvous, among other things. Our Endeavour ring contains metal shavings from a bulkhead bolt that was installed on the shuttle for its 11th mission, from May 19th to May 29th, 1996. Space Shuttle Endeavour (OV-105) flew 25 missions between 19, including trips to the Mir space station, the Hubble telescope, and the ISS. The Space Shuttle holds the distinction of being the most complex machines ever created by man. Simply select Ring Engraving from the shop and add it to your purchase!
